The city is not the only place to have the best Christmas markets; the suburbs are full of them as well.

There is a fantastic variety of Christmas markets where you are sure to find the right Christmas gift for your loved ones and maybe something extra for yourself.  We have round up the best family friendly Xmas markets with a variety of big markets, small markets, markets that are on during the day and some Christmas night markets as well.

Brisbane Eco Living Christmas Market

Support small business and grab your gifts at the Brisbane Christmas Market – this outdoor (undercover) marketplace will be buzzing with the perfect gifts and latest in the eco industry. There is the Night Market on Saturday with food trucks and live music, eco Market Stallholders, live Music from locals & schools, free workshops and seminars and prizes and giveaways. This local Christmas market might be the best place to pick up a Secret Santa gift too!

Brisbane Fair Trade Christmas Market

Escape crowded shopping malls and online click frenzies in favour of a more local experience – one where you get to meet the person who crafted your gifts. You know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get from giving a gift? It’s even warmer and fuzzier when you know the gift has been made ethically. The annual Fair Trade Christmas Market takes place out at QSAC stadium, where products have been sourced from as far as Palestine, Nepal and Cambodia.

BrisStyle Brisbane Twilight Market

Wander through the variety of stalls showcasing the best of locally-based designers. Admire artisanal hand-crafted goods underneath the gorgeous glow of City Hall. Expect unique ranges of summer clothing, inspiring artworks to adorn your walls, cleverly crafted ceramics and so much more! It’s the perfect place to get your Christmas shopping done in one swoop! There’ll be food stalls to keep your tummy satisfied with yummy treats alongside live musical entertainment.

Coorparoo Christmas Markets

Pop down to Coorparoo Square for a coffee, brunch or lunch and browse the stalls spread out across the precinct from 9am – 1pm. The markets will feature an assortment of over 40 small independent businesses offering ceramics, pots, handmade clothing, skincare, eco products, accessories, honey and more!  You can even take the hairiest member of your family – dogs are welcome!

Gasworks Christmas Markets

Skip the shopping centre and shop small this festive season – the perfect December night to finish up your local Christmas shopping! Join in for the final 2020 monthly design market hosted by The Market Folk at Gasworks Plaza’s Gasometer. Shop fashion, art, vintage, homewares, plants, pots, ceramics, children’s, skincare and more!

Jingle All the Bay

Join in to celebrate Christmas on the Sandgate Bayside with a Festive Street Party and Christmas Parade. Proudly presented by the Sandgate and Districts Chamber of Commerce, at this years markets there will be:

  • stages of entertainment,
  • meet and greet with Santa,
  • Winter Wonderland Laneway,
  • food and Christmas Markets,
  • Whoville themed area with entertainment,
  • amusement rides and
  • an animal farm and so much more.

Nundah Christmas Twilight Market

Make a list, check it twice and hurry down the chimney to Nundah Christmas Twilight Markets on December 5th. From 4pm ’til 10pm they’ll be slinging gourmet eats and drinks, stuffing your Christmas stockings with unique, handmade gifts, shimmying to live music and tiring the kids out with elf-approved fun! There will be eats and drinks, pop-up bars, photos with Santa and plenty of entertainment.

Redcliffe Christmas Twilight Market

The Collective Markets Christmas Edition

The Collective Markets will return to their home on Little Stanley Street and Stanley Street Plaza, showcasing a wealth of Christmas gifts and bites by independent retailers, unique to South Bank. Get your shopping done under twinkling lights while surrounded by real (not plastic) Christmas trees. The Christmas Markets are a unique opportunity for some of Australia’s best artisans to display and sell their Christmas wares within an iconic hub of South Bank Parklands.

Victoria Point Christmas Market
