It’s coming to that time of year when you need to start planning which Christmas carol events to attend.  We are so lucky on the Gold Coast to have such a great selection to choose from.  From Gold Coast Christmas carols on the beach, in churches and in parks, there is something to suit all members of your family. You can also find lots of other Gold Coast Christmas events and Santa photos here.

Each event will offer something a bit different so make sure you check ahead to see if you need to take chairs and rugs.  You may like to BYO your own food or have a night off and buy something when you get there. Make sure you also pack the insect repellent, this is summer in Australia after all!  These Xmas carols Gold Coast are on at family friendly times so you can get the little ones home to bed.

Coomera Anglican College Foundation Christmas Carols 2024

Join Coomera Anglican College Foundation Christmas Carols on Saturday 9 November for a joyous evening of Christmas spirit. Bring your family, friends and a picnic rug to celebrate the true spirit of the season, with our talented students and staff filling the air with beautiful carols that will warm your heart.

Indulge in delicious treats from the many food trucks and enjoy the excitement of a very special visit from Santa. As the evening unfolds, you are sure to feel the magic when the sky lights up with a bang.

Benowa Carols 2024

This annual event is back! This year, there will be food trucks and a bar. Take your family along to have a relaxing evening. Why not make the most of it and dress up in a Christmas costume?

When: Friday 22 November, 4.30pm – 7.30pm

Mayor’s Christmas Carols 2024

Sing along to your favourite Christmas tunes at the annual Mayor’s Christmas Carols Gold Coast at Broadwater Parklands, presented by Village Roadshow Theme Parks.  The Warner Bros. Hosted by 7 News Gold Coast presenters Amanda Abate and Steve Titmus and 1029 Hot Tomato’s Emily Jade O’Keeffe and Galey, the evening will commence at 6pm and conclude at 9pm with a fireworks finale that will undoubtedly light up your night. Why not spoil yourself and get some new Christmas earrings.

Carols by Candlelight Runaway Bay 2024

Get ready for a night of festive fun with spectacular performances by talented guest singers, including Leah Lever, Sharon Rowntree, Glenn Shields, tenor Paul Gulinello, and the Treble Makers Choir from Coomera Anglican College.

Enjoy live music from a 7-piece band with a lively horn section, all while treating yourself to delicious bites from food trucks like Good Time Diner, Dinky D’s Donuts, and the Lions Club Christmas Sausage Sizzle and glow products. Plus, there’ll be sweet treats like fairy floss, popcorn, ice cream and shakes!

For the kids, they’ve got free face painting and keep an eye out for Rudolph, Molly Kangaroo, Cookie Cookie, Frosty the Snowman and the one and only Santa Claus!

Don’t miss this unforgettable night of Christmas cheer, live entertainment, and family fun finishing with a fireworks spectacular!

North Burleigh Carols by The Sea 2024

North Burleigh Carols by the Sea will provide a festive mixture of children’s activities, food trucks and markets from 4pm to 8pm; followed by Christmas staged entertainment including Carols, Community Groups and Live Music from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 5 December. This is a free family friendly event.

Tugun Lights Up 2024

Tugun Lights Up returns again on Saturday 3rd December, for the annual celebration of carols Gold Coast! Dine under the stars at one of the fantastic local cafes or restaurants, check out the local window displays and special offers, or visit the Christmas market stalls. Plenty of children’s entertainment on offer throughout the program with Santa making a special appearance!  There will be carols, giggles and just plenty of fun! You might like to find a new Christmas dress to wear.

Pacific Pines Christmas Carols 2024

The Pacific Pines Residents Group are hosting the Pacific Pines Christmas Carols this Sunday starting at 4 in the afternoon and going through to 8 in the evening at Central Park, Hotham Drive, Pacific Pines.

A spectacular fireworks display will complete what will be a brilliant night at 8pm.

There’ll be some fabulous food trucks as well as the Pacific Pines Residents Sausage Sizzle and raffles.

There will be competitions, face painting and a pop up playground for the kids, so bring a picnic blanket or your camp chairs and come and join us at the Pacific Pines Christmas Carols for a wonderful evening out with the family.

This is no ordinary performance on stage. Get ready for the most exciting and interactive Santa show in Queensland. Join Santa, Mrs Claus and Rudolf for a Christmas extravaganza that includes a mix of traditional carols and current pop songs. Last year Santa was riding Shotgun, wonder what surprises he has for us this Christmas.

Northern Gold Coast Carols 2024

Highway Church has been running the Northern Gold Coast Carols (formally named Ormeau Carols) since it began over 20 years ago. In that time, the event has established itself as an excellent family-friendly event on the Gold Coast. Each year, more than 10,000+ attend the event. You will find free rides, face painting and activities.  There will be food and drinks, photos with Santa and a live carol show.  Free entry. The night will finish with fireworks.

When: Sunday 8 December – 6pm

Christmas Carols Sanctuary Cove 2024

Bring your picnic blanket and gather for an evening of singalongs with the family to Christmas classics under the stars. At half time, be treated to the annual Buggy Parade hosted by The Rotary Club of Hope Island, ending the evening with a fireworks display over the water. This is a free event. We recommend you arrive early to find parking and a spot on the grass.

Carols by the Lake Varsity Lakes 2024

Head along to celebrate Christmas by the water at Carols by the Lake on Saturday 14 December from 4pm to 8pm in Varsity Lakes. Varsity’s unique festive celebration will return to its lakeside location on Lake Orr and will feature:

  • live stage entertainment
  • Christmas carols
  • kids activities
  • delicious food options
  • community stalls
  • a visit from Santa, and
  • a fireworks finale!

This free event is proudly brought to you by Division 11 Councillor Dan Doran.

Nerang Celebrates Christmas 2024

This is a community event for local families on the 9th December. Free entertainment including Christmas Carols. Food, drinks, rides and other items available for purchase. Unlimited ride bands are available. Take a rug and your singing voices and celebrate together.

Christmas Carols Southport 2024

You’re invited to Southport’s free Community Christmas Carols! Join them on December 21 and 22 for a festive Christmas celebration, singing along to your favourite carols. There will be free outdoor activities, face painting, sausage sizzle, crafts, a jumping castle and more, followed by their Christmas Carols production.

When: Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 December – 4pm

Coolangatta Christmas Carols 2024

Presented by Division 14 Cr Gail O’Neill, attendees will be able to sing along to their favourite carols, enjoy spectacular festive performances, and settle in for a magical night under the Southern Gold Coast stars. Santa will be making an appearance by plane with plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The Coolangatta Christmas Markets and food trucks will be open from 4pm-8pm – QLD time, and the stage show starts at 5.30pm, and the event including a fantastic festive fireworks display.

Studio Village Community Carols TBC

Bring along your picnic rug and bring a camp chair so you can enjoy the night.  You can take your own food if you wish. Santa will be at the Carols with his friends Frosty, Rudolph and his favourite Elf. Glowsticks are available at low cost for the kids. There’s nothing like carols by candlelight Gold Coast.

Christmas in the Park TBC

Who’s excited for the most magical time of the year? Sing your heart out at the Carols in Coomera!

Kicking off at 4:30pm, bring the whole family along to the Coomera Sports Park to enjoy all of the Christmas classics and a festive kids show.

Devour your favourites from the delicious food trucks and see Santa himself! He is extra excited for the short trip from the North Pole to the Northern Gold Coast.

Of course no Carols are complete without a visit from Santa and Gold Coast’s singing Santa from the Mayor’s Christmas Carols will also be performing. This is no ordinary performance on stage. Get ready for the most exciting and interactive Santa show in Queensland. Join Santa, Mrs Claus and Rudolf for a Christmas extravaganza that includes a mix of traditional carols and current pop songs. Last year Santa was riding Shotgun, wonder what surprises he has for us this Christmas.

    Come and do some last minute Christmas shopping with some amazing market stalls or come down and try some of the yummy food from the food trucks.

    The Pacific Pines Residents Group will be running a giant raffle with over $2,000 in prizes and all proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Guanaba Rural Fire Brigade to purchase some much needed equipment for their station.

    There will be free jumping castles and a pop up playground for the kids, so bring a picnic blanket or your camp chairs and come and join us at the Pacific Pines Christmas Carols for a wonderful evening out with the family.
